In the heart of Tirona, Cavite, I was able to visit and give back to the local church led by Pastora Melita Orozco. They extended a warm invitation to children of all ages, as we organized a simple “salo-salo” (gathering). You could feel the excitement in the air—their faces lighting up with joy at the thought of such treats, which for many, were rare blessings. It is always my hearts’ desire to give and it is fulfilling to see how a simple act of kindness can make someone’s day.

When I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms and hearts full of love. The children’s smiles radiated pure joy. As we gathered inside the church and the service began, I felt deeply honored to sing a special number but what truly moved me was seeing those precious children singing their hearts out to the Lord. We sang praise and worship and their voices lifted in praise was a powerful reminder of the innocence and faith that children bring to the kingdom of God. My heart overflowed with happiness as I saw their love for Jesus shine through their praises.

After the service, we moved to the fellowship hall where the children eagerly lined up for their favorite treat: macaroni and ice cream. It was such a great sight of laughter and joy as they savored each bite.  I also handed out to the kids some extra candy treats from the US and they were all excited to get their turn. It wasn’t just about the food; it was about the experience of coming together, sharing in God’s blessings, and finding joy in the simple things.

As I was about to leave, I was reminded of the story in the Bible, where Jesus fed thousands with just a small offering of bread and fish. That even the smallest act of giving, when placed in God’s hands, can be multiplied to meet the needs of many. It was about trusting in God’s provision, no matter how little I had to offer, God can bring about greater blessings out of it. I am grateful that I was able to demonstrate an example with the children who, despite their young age, understood the significance of giving and sharing. It was a beautiful reminder that God sees and values the heart behind every offering.

That day has been a powerful reminder of God’s grace and the simple yet profound ways in which He blesses us. This was more than just a mission—it was a celebration of God’s grace, a testament to the love that flows from Him into our lives. And I am grateful to God that I am able to do these things through Him who strengthens me.
